Cheree L. Fenske, PH.D. Dr. Fenske received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts and completed her post-doctoral fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine and Neuropsychology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City specializing in the outpatient treatment of individuals with traumatic and acquired brain injuries. While completing her fellowship, Dr. Fenske completed extensive and numerous neuropsychological assessment batteries on individuals with brain injuries and those exposed to toxic mold. She conducted individualized cognitive rehabilitation with adult outpatients. After completing a fellowship at Mount Sinai, Dr. Fenske went on to become the chief psychologist of the hospital’s 25-bed inpatient brain injury unit, providing individual, group and family psychotherapy as well as individual and group cognitive rehabilitation. She also was responsible for data collection for the national Model Systems research grant, an integral part of understanding the nature and treatment of traumatic brain injury. Dr. Fenske has presented at regional and national conferences on symptom reporting patterns in individuals with brain injury as well as issues related to dual diagnosis and substance abuse treatment outcomes. She has taught medical students and residents about brain injury diagnosis and treatment, and the application of neuropsychological and psychological assessment in the treatment of patients hospitalized with a variety of medical conditions, including chronic pain and spinal cord injury. Dr. Fenske has vast experience in neuropsychological assessment and treatment of traumatic or acquired brain injury as well as individual, group and family psychotherapy. She specializes in cognitive rehabilitation, neuro-biofeedback, and biofeedback for individuals with neurological, medical, emotional and behavioral disorders. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. She is licensed in both Connecticut and New York States.
