Cognitive Rehabilitation Group

Our cognitive rehabilitation groups are weekly, structured groups for individuals with cognitive impairment from stroke, brain injury or other neurological disorders. Group treatment addresses the cognitive, emotional, and social changes sustained by group members in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Members learn to give and receive feedback in an appropriate and constructive manner. Intervention includes specific exercises to remediate impaired cognitive functions, strategies to help members compensate for cognitive impairments in daily life, and feedback to allow patients to improve the effectiveness of their social skills and communication.

We offer groups for individuals from young adult to elderly with a broad range and severity of impairments.
