Karen J. Salzarulo, LCSW, BCD Karen Salzarulo is a licensed clinical social worker who has been in practice for 25 years. Her clinical expertise and extensive training in clinical social work, behavioral therapy and modern psychoanalysis has resulted in a unique clinical approach. Her combined use of psychodynamic and behavioral therapy enables individuals to deal with their thoughts, feelings and desires in a more productive and meaningful way. Her therapeutic approach is to create a relationship in a safe and comfortable environment. She works with individuals who display a full range of emotional issues, including the most difficult of concerns, addictions and traumas. Ms. Salzarulo is currently in private practice at Neuropsychology Consultants, LLC., working with individuals, couples, families and groups. She is also on staff at Norwalk Hospital Emergency Department, dealing with crisis management, case management, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and child abuse assessments and treatment planning. She is the clinical consultant for a private early education facility in Southern Connecticut, where she also conducts parenting groups. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy - University of New Hampshire; Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work - Indiana University; post graduate training - Boston Graduate School for Modern Psychoanalysis.
